Located 22 miles outside of Boston, Minute Man National Historical Park preserves, protects, and interprets the significant historical sites, structures, and landscapes associated with the opening battles of the American Revolution. Within the park is the 5.5 mile interpretive Battle Road Access Trail which focuses on the events of April 19, 1775. Graphic waysides along the trail provide visitors with interpretation of the various skirmishes that occurred during the daylong battle from Concord to Boston. Additional waysides tell the stories of the people and places affected by the battles.
