Signage Programming & Design, Documentation, Construction Management
Looking to the function of the building for design inspiration, the names plays and playwrights are used as graphic elements on signage for the University's performing arts building. Because room designations change frequently within a university setting, signage was designed to be flexible. Room signs have permanent number designations and insert sheets that are preprinted with the graphic element and can be laser printed in house to accommodated changing information. Permanent signage for directories and wayfinding were designed to coordinate with subsurface silkscreened graphics. As an additional graphic element, oversized typographic posters enliven the building's lobby and main communicating stairwell.
